Depending on what side of the fence you are on this list will either be the best list I put out or the worst list I put out. Both of these genres are very divisive these days. You kind of either love folk and country or you kind of hate it. Not much middle ground. If you love it, this list and this year is/was for you! This year was pretty incredible for roots based rock and country. We don't touch "new country" over here. The closest we will get is slight influences. This list is for the old dusty cowboy/girl.
