Weekly Roundup 9/3/18

These are the best albums of the week of September 3rd:

The best of the bunch this week was far and away the new Swamp Dogg album "Love, Lose and Auto-Tune". This is a collaboration between the 76 year old Swamp Dogg(established weirdo soul/funk singer) and Bon Iver. Luckily Bon Iver doesn't open his mouth much on this one and sticks mainly to production with excellent results. I would be down to sign a petition to get Bon Iver to stop releasing his own music and do production and studio trickery from now on, the guy is really good at it. As the title suggests this album is mostly sung using all auto tune. It makes for a trippy psychedelic album full of interesting twists and turns. This is a huge leap forward for Swamp Dogg and one of the best funky soul albums of the year.
