Lots of good Pop this year. Lots of terrible Pop as well. You did really have to sift through a lot of bullshit to get to the good stuff. Most of this stuff would be considered left of center pop, though some of it is very rooted in traditional Pop music. A lot of it takes cues from modern Pop but adds something new, different and creative. One thing most of these albums have in common is infectious catchiness. The melodies are all here, sometimes you have to dig a little to find em. This list encompasses everything from Experimental Pop to Dream Pop to the aforementioned modern Pop influenced.
