Weekly Roundup For The Week Of 11/19/18

It's that time of year again. When the music cycle starts slowing down. As a result there will be fewer and fewer new releases each Friday. And as a result of that, there will be fewer albums appearing on these lists. Don't worry! Things will pick up after the first week of January. Until then, the lists will be short and the highlights will be less. This week had a few decent releases and since there were so few the Spotify playlist accompanying this list will have 2 tracks from each artist vs. 1 like before. Below are some of the highlights:

Art Brut came back with their strongest album since their debut. It's very similar to the debut and not a bad release from them.

Laibach released a ridiculous covers album of the music from The Sound Of Music. Apparently they were the first "rock" band to play North Korea in something like 70 years. They performed this album in it's entirety because, for some reason, the music from The Sound Of Music is taught in North Korean schools. The music is very sentimental for them. This is not a live recording. They went in the studio and fleshed everything out. I know there are some political icky things related to playing North Korea but when the music is this good you can kind of forgive them a little bit.
