Monthly Roundup September 2017

UPDATED: SPOTIFY LIST!

LCD Soundsystem surprised the hell out of me with their new album. Very reflective of the direction I saw them go in when I saw them live at FYF. Very Can meets disco party meets talking heads.

Alex Cameron released an amazing follow-up to his first album. Contains one of the best songs of the year with his duet with Angel Olsen called "Stranger's Kiss". Highly recommended. Focus on the lyrics!

Micah P. Hinson released an incredibly thoughtful(to the genre) Americana album. Very true to it's roots.

The new old album Neil Young released was a great addition to his slew of amazing 70s era albums.

New Ariel Pink is excellent for all the wrong reasons. The album is more thoughtful, the weirdness paired down(a bit) to give us what is probably his most solid focused album yet. I thought I would be bored, the opposite effect happened.

Moses Sumney dropped his first album after releasing a decent amount of cassettes and eps over the past couple of years. This album is very thoughtful in it's execution. It has a very intimate sound to it and was very much worth the wait.
